What Is Sled Hockey?
Sled hockey (also known as para ice hockey) is a fast-paced, full-contact sport designed for athletes with physical disabilities. Players sit on specially designed sleds mounted on blades and use two sticks — one end for passing and shooting, the other with metal picks for propulsion. The result? A game that’s just as intense, physical, and thrilling as stand-up hockey.
Expect big hits, quick transitions, and nonstop action.
Three Days. Three Divisions. Nonstop Hockey.
The Showdown in Hockeytown features competition across multiple levels, showcasing the depth and talent of sled hockey nationwide:
Junior (Youth) Division – The future of the sport takes the ice, bringing speed, passion, and fearless play.
Adult B Division – Competitive, physical, and unpredictable matchups.
Adult A Division – Elite-level sled hockey featuring some of the top athletes in the country.
Whether you’re a lifelong hockey fan or brand new to sled hockey, every game delivers edge-of-your-seat excitement.
